New Performance Mitsubishi Evo 900X Fast Cars Modifications

Speed freaks and adrenaline junkies alike all get geeked up when they hear about a new package from tuning firm, AMS Performance. It’s not enough that these tuners just created an Alpha 10 package for the Nissan GT-R that broke the World Record for Quickest and Fastest GT-R running a 9.3 at 153mph in the quarter mile with a full weight street car. No, these guys had to keep on trucking with a new package for one of their other rides: the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo. The Mitsubishi Evo 900X comes with killer engine upgrades and some minor aerodynamic changes.

The power for the Evo 900X circles around the 2.2 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine with Kelford cams and valve springs. The added turbo kit gets this engine ready for just about any paved road with an AMS boost control solenoid kit, an AMS front mount intercooler, AMS intercooler piping, a Tial QR blow off valve, and an AMS 3” racing series exhaust. The quick-spooling turbocharger allows the vehicle to "fire off 10 second passes at the drag strip" and provides "enough low end torque to corner exit with the best of them." All of these engine mods combined will get the customer 900 HP and a sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds.

Next to the engine upgrade, the 900X package also includes a carbon fiber aerodynamic package, upgraded brakes, and an upgraded suspension.

2011 Chevrolet Camaro V-6 engine Top Cing Cars

The 2011 Chevrolet Camaro V-6 engine completed SAE certification testing and is now officially rated at 312 horsepower at 6500 rpm and 278 lb-ft of torque at 5100 rpm. This rating is eight horsepower higher than the previous year and also marks an increase in torque from the 2010 rating of 273 lb-ft.
No physical car was because the car yet to be ordered. Chevrolet did the right thing in allowing the winner of the bid to select the color, trim, powertrain and options of the car that will be built in early 2011. Owners can either take delivery at their hometown Chevrolet dealer or pick it up at the GM heritage center. Expect the car to be a fully loaded 2SS and not an LS on 18 inch Heritage steel-wheels.

Luxury Cars Nissan Ellure Concept

Nissan has taken part in the Los Angeles Auto Show by bringing with them a concept that will redefine Nissan’s sedan language. It may slither its way into the background due to the extravagant and elaborate concepts being shown as part of the Design Challenge, but this is one concept that definitely deserves a second glance, maybe even a third. Nissan says this is not a preview for any production model, but we do expect to see plenty of features borrowed from this concept and put into their future models.

The Ellure’s exterior is defined by a deeply skirted front fascia and a bold solid-transparent front grille with small openings, which direct the wind over and under the body. The full underbody pan, molded side rearview camera housings, and small wheel openings add to the design of the vehicle while the 21-inch 5-spoke aluminum-alloy wheels complete the look. The front grille was inspired by the “Kamishino” Samurai formal coat.

The interior of the Ellure plays off of the idea of light and dark with an instrument panel covered in chrome-free leather and front seats covered with a black eco-suede utilizing recycled fibers. Drawing one’s attention immediately is the “floating” center console with a sculptural, see-through effect. It is covered in white leather with red nighttime lighting shining through. The red lighting spreads to the all-glass ceiling where there is also special red mood lighting. A console-mounted central controller provides intuitive control for HVAC, audio, navigation and other functions.

Going along with the times, the Ellure is also a hybrid concept. It combines a supercharged 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder with Intelligent Dual Clutch Control and a 25 kW electric motor, matched with an Xtronic CVT and front-wheel drive.

New Launched Of Subaru Impreza Cars In Blitz Auto Show

Subaru came to the Los Angeles Auto Show packed with a concept version of the next generation Impreza. The concept looks to be leaner and meaner than the current Impreza and rides along with Subaru’s Symmetrical All Wheel Drive.

The exterior features a hexagonal grille with spread wings in the center and hawk eye-style headlights. The hood, grille, and headlights were designed to project three-dimensional character. The rear gets a garnish that radiates outward from the center, sharp-edged rear lights, and new taillamp.

The interior is defined by a theme of "Dynamic, Enticing, Secure." The smooth integration of the instrument panel with the door trim and armrests suggests sporty yet comfortable driving. The roomy platinum-leather four-seat layout envelops occupants. Dark blue piping and double stitching accent the leather. A "layered" approach to color, with the upper part light platinum and the lower part a shade darker, gives the interior a feeling of spaciousness and sophistication.

Ford Focus High Technology Supercars

Ford continues its attack on the Los Angeles Auto Show with this next Ford Focus from 3dCarbon. It may not see even a glint of a power upgrade, but the styling and aerodynamic modifications do allow for a tremendous boost in the overall look of the car.

The very first thing we noticed on the car is the glossy black hood and the satiny film foil wrap covering the rest of the body. The windows are smoked-out with 3M window film and the 20-inch Series KM650-KMC wheels are painted in glossy black finish and wrapped in Falken tires – FK452. There are two red pinstripes accenting their way down the length of the roof and hood while the wheels also get a little red pinstripe action.

In addition to the styling benefits found on this Focus, the hatchback also gets a 3dCarbon roof wing, H&R Springs sport spring, and a FSWerks cat-back exhaust.

“This car builds on the already impressive styling of the new Focus with the unique touches we used, like the foil wrap and red accents,” said Ernie Bunnell, 3dCarbon vice president of sales and marketing. “The design of the Focus fits where the market is right now and the global appeal of this car is sure to be a hit with our customers.”

2010 Porsche GT3 Turbo Sport Cars Advanced Concept

Who can make a Porsche 911 GT3 look even better than it already does? That’s easy: the German tuner 9ff. Their GTurbo program offers the possibility of extracting a total of 1000 HP from your GT3. That impressive amount of power was possible thanks to a Bi-Turbo conversion. However if 1000 HP is just to much for you, then you have other options to choose from: 9ff GTurbo750 – 750 HP, 9ff GTurbo850 – 850 HP, 9ff GTurbo1000 – 1000 HP.

The 9ff exterior kit includes: a front apron with built in LED indicators, lower side skirts and a redesigned rear apron, sport exhaust system and 19" alloy wheels in five double spoke design. With this many horses under the hood, the modified 911’s performance is more than impressive, going from 0 to 60 MPH in 3.0 seconds in the GTurbo850 and only 2.9 seconds in the GTurbo1000. The 9ff kit is good to accelerate from 0 to 300 km/h in 18.7 seconds and 16.5 seconds respectively while the top speed goes up to 243 MPH.

New Techart Porsche lighter Modifications

When you look at a tuned up car from afar, one of the first things that will catch your attention, apart from the front end, are the wheels that they come in. While most people will associate custom wheels as an accessory or a (car) fashion statement, they do have a far more important purpose than just aesthetic improvements.

With that in mind, world famous Porsche tuners TechArt are releasing a new set of 20-inch lightweight forged center-lock wheels they’re calling the ‘TechArt Formula Race” wheels. Coming two sizes for both front axle and one for the rear axle - 8.5J x 20 ET 40 and 8.5J x 20 ET 52 for the front axle and 12J x 20 ET 50 for the rear axle – the new TechArt wheels are based on the lighter twin spokes series rims and are connected through a centerlock. These wheels are 10% lighter than the firm’s “TechArt Formula III” forged wheel and 25% lighter compared to a standard alloy wheel.

The TechArt Formula Race wheels come in titanium gray matte, or if you’re in the mood for some color-coordination, you can have them do the wheels in an individual matched custom color to match the color of your Porsche.

New Honda Cars Sport Air Concept

The LA Design Challenge is one of the most eagerly anticipated events of the LA Auto Show pitting different auto brands building their concept vehicles based on the set criteria for the event. This year’s theme focuses on society’s shift towards minimizing their dependence on natural resources by building a light-weight vehicle that focuses on efficiency without sacrificing the style of the vehicle.

Honda’s entry for the 2010 Design Challenge is the Air concept, a lightweight vehicle that uses alternative fuel, all while boasting an aggressive look inspired by, oddly enough, roller coasters and skydiving wing suits. So, we guess that’s why it’s called the Air concept.

In any case, the Air uses a compressed air and pneumatic regulator system that uses turbo vacuums and external air-flow to regenerate the tank’s pressure system, ensuring that the vehicle has extended range and increased boost to last an estimated 100 miles. Anytime you need to have your tanks and reserves refilled efficiently, a Honda generator and air compressor does the trick, either from the comforts of your own home or at a local station.

For safety, the Air concept uses vegetable-based polymer panels and fairings to ensure the safety and protection of its occupants.

The whole body of the Air concept resembles the look of a modern rollercoaster designed to optimize the open-air experience. Then there’s the chassis, which has a variety of purposes to eliminate the structure’s redundancy and reduce the vehicle’s overall weight, ensuring that it doesn’t exceed 1,000 lbs. Other weight-saving procedures done to the Air include the use of a hub-less wheel and drive system instead of the standard drive train system, glass reinforced seating panels, urethane tire composition, and skeletal sub-frame components, all of which contributed to the Air shedding off a significant amount of weight, rounding off to just about 800 lbs.

High Performance Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Spyder

The open-top sports car segment has seen a lot of pretenders recently, cars that attempt to hang with the big boys only to be reminded that it takes another level of power and fast to be able to belong in elite group of open top sports cars. While other brands have had a problem designating which car belongs in what group, Lamborghini has had no problem doing so.

The Sant’Agata Bolognese-based automaker has finally released their latest exotic, the Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Spyder Performance. Based on the Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder, the Gallardo Spyder Performante is what happens when Lamborghini engineers go the extra mile in further reducing the weight of an already lightweight supercar. While some may shun at the attempt, thinking that chopping off more weight would be next to impossible, the folks at Lamborghini set out to prove the naysayers wrong, reducing the car’s weight by 143 lbs, leaving it with a dry weight of just 3,274 lbs, which, in case you’re keeping score, makes this the lightest Lamborghini to be released in the open-top sports car segment.

Top cing cars 2008 Honda Civic Mugen Si Sedan

A factory-prepared 2008 Honda Civic MUGEN Si Sedan will debut in mid-October, American Honda Motor Co., Inc., announced today.

The Civic MUGEN Si Sedan is equipped with a high-performance suspension, forged aluminum wheels, aerodynamic body styling and a sport-tuned exhaust system.

“Honda enthusiasts have long been asking for factory-installed MUGEN performance products similar to what the company offers in Japan,” said John Mendel, executive vice president of American Honda. “We’re enthusiasts, too, and the ultra-premium Civic MUGEN Si Sedan offers exclusive style and elevated handling performance with legendary Honda refinement.”

The track-tuned suspension, tested at the Twin Ring Motegi racing circuit in Japan, lowers the vehicle by 0.6 inches with aggressive spring and damper tuning for enhanced handling performance while still maintaining a high level of ride comfort. Compared to the conventional Civic Si Sedan, front and rear damping force (both bump and rebound) was increased between 8- and 24-percent. Lightweight 16.98-pound 18×7.5-inch forged aluminum wheels (27 percent lighter than the stock 17×7 alloy wheel) and high-grip BFGoodrich® g-Force KDW 215/40ZR18 summer tires help to create MUGEN’s unique, rewarding and well-balanced handling performance character. The full-vehicle aero-package adds a front spoiler with a sports grille, side spoilers, a rear bumper diffuser and a rear wing.

The sport exhaust system reduces back pressure from the catalytic converter back. The Civic MUGEN Si Sedan will be available exclusively in Fiji Blue Pearl and include front and rear MUGEN emblems. Inside, a MUGEN Limited Edition placard is located on the center console along with a spherical 50 mm MUGEN aluminum shift knob.

The name MUGEN symbolizes Honda performance throughout Asia and around the globe. MUGEN, under license by M-TEC Co., Ltd., of Japan, has been closely associated with Honda for more than three decades in the design and manufacture of racing and premium aftermarket performance products.

The limited-production vehicle (maximum of 1,000 units for the 2008 model year) will have a retail price of less than $30,000 when it goes on sale and include a full factory warranty. 2009 Nissan GT-R Sport Car Review

GT-R was released as a trim level of the Skyline sedan in 1969. Briefly after that, the first GT-R coupe was introduced and produced until 1973. Sixteen years later, the GT-R was re-introduced into the Skyline lineup, known as the R32. The R32 featured the first application of a twin turbo inline-6 engine and a sophisticated AWD system. The R33 GT-R soon followed, becoming the first production car to break the 8-minute Nurburgring lap time. Since then, the GT-R has become a part of pop culture with a strong underground following, making appearances in the video game Gran-Turismo for Sony PS2 and in the movies, like the Fast and the Furious series. But this generation is different…this 2009 GT-R is NOT based on another model, like the previous four generations.

The exterior’s aggressive styling gives a powerful, strong, muscular, and precise look to the GT-R. The HID headlights feature three additional sub-reflectors unlike conventional lights, to spread the light wide and low for cornering. The rear, of course, has the traditional GT-R four-ring LED taillights. The 20-inch “high luster smoke gray” forged aluminum wheels (9.5″ front, 10.5″ rear) with special bead knurling are the only wheel/tire option for now, due to the G forces that the GT-R is able to produce under extreme braking and accelerating conditions. Worried about getting door-dinged in the parking lot? The GT-R has durable chip-resistant paint with a double clear coat process.

Auto Sport Cars Modification Perform

Sport Cars ModificationPeople buy a car because they need it for their quick transportation. However, there are people who like to buy cars for their pleasure. Therefore, for these people, taking care of car is more important instead of using it all the time. To have more stylish cars, they usually get their cars done. On the other hand, they do what is called car modification.

Car modification is a very fun thing to do. It has something to do with the personality of the owner, because usually the result of car modification represents how the personalities of the owners are. You are one the people who modification, you are certainly interested in installing and changing some of your car’s parts. If you like music, you can put audio tools, such as DVD players. You can also replace the headlights to be more stylists. To lead you better when you travel with your beloved car, you can put navigation tool such as GPS. Moreover, if you want to spend more money, what you can do is changing the color or the type of the car door. It would be awesome. However, if you do not have that much budget, you can just do small part of car modification.

Again, car modification work is not an easy thing to do. Accordingly, you need the expert that will help you to do this. You just need to call a car modification company and tell them what you want. They would tell you what they have, so you can figure out how much money you want to spend for the modification. You can also take a look at car modification companies on the internet. In their websites, they usually have the pictures or online live chat with the customer service. Once you can do this, you can show your new car off to your friends. You can now show your identity on your car.

Chevrolet Camaro Concept Car | Cars wallpaper Gallery

Chevrolet Camaro ConceptWe knew what we had to do. Get the first photo ever of a 2009 Camaro doing a burnout — or at least a car that’s a dead ringer for the 2009 Camaro doing a burnout. So there we were last July near the set of Transformers, cruising along the roads surrounding an old aircraft hangar in Playa Vista, California. We were driving “Bumblebee,” the Camaro that’s the star of this summer’s sure-to-be-blockbuster, looking for the perfect place to blaze the hides off its rear tires.Chevrolet Camaro ConceptIt’s amazing that we even got permission. “A burnout?” one Paramount Pictures publicity person asked us. “What’s that?”

Driving a Transformer

After lots of assurances that it wouldn’t hurt their movie star except burn some rubber off the rear tires — and despite the agonizing trepidation of both the studio and General Motors — there we were cruising around Howard Hughes’ old digs and shooting photos, trying to find the sweet spot where the light would perfectly catch the blue-gray haze.

With filming taking place so far in advance of production of the 2009 Chevy Camaro, getting the new Camaro into Transformers took massive cooperation between Detroit and Hollywood. The result of this effort is one of the most impressive automotive movie props ever built — a fully functional, fiberglass-bodied replica of the concept car first shown at the 2006 North American International Auto Show. It looks just like the concept car, only it’s painted a better color and actually moves under its own power.

Chevrolet Camaro ConceptThis is a movie prop, so it in no way necessarily indicates how the production Camaro will drive. In fact it has more in common with the just-discontinued, Aussie-made Pontiac GTO because under all that plastic there is a GTO — pulled straight out of GM’s engineering R&D fleet. This feat is in itself nearly as impressive a feat of fabrication as any production car. And this car drives well. In fact it even did its own stunts.

Yeah, it’s fake. But this car and its identical twin (movie companies can’t wait around for a busted car to be fixed so there’s always at least one duplicate) are great fakes.

Chevrolet Camaro ConceptGetting the Part

There are a shockingly large number of Transformers enthusiasts out there. Weaned on the original Hasbro toys and several television cartoon series, plus comic books, these boys (and they have been virtually all boys) spent the 1980s obsessed with the battle pitting Bumblebee and the other Autobots against the evil Decepticons. Of course, every one of these Transformers geeks knows that the original Bumblebee was a Volkswagen Beetle. But the movie Bumblebee is — purists be damned — a Camaro. Actually two Camaros — first a clapped-out ’76 F-body that later becomes the ’09 version.

“This is kind of a special movie in that the cars are characters,” says director Michael Bay. “I wanted to find a special car and I have the best relationship with GM. They took me into their skunkworks and I saw this car. I said, ‘That’s the car.’” Not only did Bay know GM, since he has directed numerous GM commercials (he was also one of the first owners of a Chevy SSR truck), but also GM is unsurprisingly familiar with the film’s producer, Steven Spielberg.

Chevrolet Camaro Concept“I didn’t hesitate and saw the opportunity,” explained Steve Tihanyi, GM’s general director for marketing alliances and entertainment. “There was really no hesitation. It was only whether I could deliver what he needed. We’ve done a lot of things together. This movie is going to be chock-full of product.” With filming to take place throughout 2006, getting the two “Camaros” necessary for filming would take a stupendous effort.

Saleen’s Thrash
General Motors is in the business of building thousands of vehicles every day. But when it comes to building just two of a type, well, that’s not GM’s gig. That’s where Saleen Specialty Vehicles comes in. Yeah, it’s that Saleen: the company that made its bones building high-performance variants of the Ford Mustang. But its facility in Troy, Michigan, where the Ford GT was assembled, is also one of Detroit’s most respected builders of show vehicles, and it even already had some movie experience.

Saleen was hired by GM at the suggestion of Steve Mann, the picture vehicle coordinator on Transformers, who while doing similar duties on the 2005 film XXX: State of the Union, had worked with Saleen in creating movie-car versions of Ford’s Cobra concept. But beyond that, Mann had also worked directly with Steve Saleen on 2003′s Hollywood Homicide and, coincidentally, their daughters had been roommates for a year while attending USC. In short, Steve Mann knew what Saleen could accomplish.

Chevrolet Camaro ConceptSince the GTO with its 109.8-inch wheelbase is already about the same size as the Camaro Concept with its 110.5-inch wheelbase, the Australian-built Pontiac became a natural base upon which to build the two Bumblebees. But the GTO is built around a unitized structure, so Saleen couldn’t simply drop a new body onto the chassis. “Basically it was reverse-engineered by our build team,” explains Bryan Chambers, the director of production at Saleen. “We had less than 45 days to build both cars so it was a barn-burner.”

To simplify, the bodies were chopped off the two 5.7-liter, LS1-powered GTOs while box frames of steel were welded up to compensate for the lost structure. Then a team led by Jon Zorn in Saleen’s showcar body shop grafted on the GM-supplied fiberglass bodies that had been pulled from the same molds used to build the concept car.

Throw in an interior also formed with fiberglass pieces, a lot of detail components (like the composite hubcaps that make the huge steel wheels look like the alloys on the concept) and a couple gallons of gorgeous gold paint and the result is the car we’re driving along the access roads outside the old Howard Hughes aircraft hangar.

Piloting Bumblebee
The old Hughes hangar in Playa Vista has been a popular place for filmmakers to shoot for decades. It’s huge and tall, so big that impressive sets can be built inside. Also it’s just down the street from Los Angeles International Airport, so all the talented craft and trades people that make for a great movie can easily get to the site. Fortunately for us (including photographer Randy Lorentzen), the hangar is also surrounded by private roads that once connected the various buildings on Hughes’ extended property. This is critical, since the Bumblebee Camaro is nowhere near street legal and doesn’t carry any sort of registration for operation on public roads.

Chevrolet Camaro ConceptFrom afar the Bumblebee Camaro is simply gorgeous; the shape that mesmerized on the show stands looks even better in sunlight. Up close, this movie prop is even more impressive, despite plenty of fakery including plastic door handles that are supposed to look like metal and plexiglass side windows that don’t roll down. This isn’t some cheap splash of fiberglass done up by amateurs, but rather Corvette-quality resin and mat. Every piece of the body is perfectly formed, the panels fit to each other with precision and the paint is thick and luminous. It’s not a production car, but it could easily pass for one.

Inside the cabin, fiberglass panels cover components that obviously have their origins in the donor GTO. For instance, the instrumentation is simply the GTO’s gauges covered in new frames, while the seats come straight from the Pontiac. Most of the surfaces the driver touches are hard plastic instead of the soft-touch stuff found in production machines, but it’s all been nicely shaped and beautifully finished. Impressively, Saleen has even managed to keep the GTO’s air-conditioning system intact, for which I’m sure the stunt drivers were grateful while filming during the heat last summer.

Bumblebee Awakes

The car starts instantly and falls easily into a familiar, throaty idle. The four-speed automatic transmission’s shift lever has been modified from a GTO piece and it works fine. Get the car rolling and there’s some road noise from the big tires since there’s little sound-deadening material aboard, but there are only a few creaks around where the body is bonded to the frame.

The steering feels fine, the brakes seem to work fine and there was no real chance to find out how the suspension worked. But my guess is that it worked just as if it were still under GTO bodywork.

This is a miracle, because most movie cars are utter crap, clapped-out junkers barely mobile enough to roll across the movie screen and blow up spectacularly. They’re incredibly lethal to drive, a mix of unpredictable dynamics and ongoing electrical fires. This Bumblebee, on the other hand, looks just about perfect and seems sweet-natured enough to do the morning commute. And when Justin Mann from the Transformers picture-car department got in it to do the burnout, it fried its tires like a seasoned street racer.

No muss, no fuss. Most important, thank God, nothing broke, so the movie crew didn’t chase me down the street while waving ax handles. We might even still have a career.

This may not be the next Camaro, but if Chevy’s lucky there will be some Bumblebee in every new Camaro it builds. Especially the ability to burn down those tires.

Civic Type R Gets a Facelift Top Cing Cars

Type R was first introduced in 1992 on the NSX as a specially tuned model that provided racing car-like feel. It was later extended to the Integra in 1995, and the Civic in 1997 in response to meeting customers' request for more opportunities to own a Type R. Malaysia is the only country in the world, besides Japan that is making available this version of the Civic Type R. To date, there are close to 200 units on Malaysian roads.

The New Civic Type R is now made to look more aggressive with the rear combination lamps redesigned to give a bolder look by incorporating diamond cluster tail and stop lights. The side mirrors are now power retractable for convenience and safety. Not forgetting the interiors, the New Civic Type R is now spotted with a new radio player complete with USB port, giving drivers the extra joy of being behind the wheels of an acknowledged performance car.

The Civic Type R is well recognised worldwide for its driving performance, futuristic design, functionality and efficiency. In Malaysia, it is well received and was named as Car of the Year in the performance car category for the Autocar Asean Car of the Year Awards 2008 and New Straits Times/Maybank Car of the Year 2008 Awards.
